Gift Management
Gifts, in both directions.
Love Manager tracks the gifts you receive and the gifts you give — so you always know what's happened, what worked, and what to get next.
Gifts received
Gifts have meaning beyond the moment of unwrapping. Someone chose something for you, thought about what you'd like, spent time and money. That's worth remembering.
Log every gift you receive — what it was, who gave it, the occasion, and any notes. When your 30th birthday comes around, you can see exactly what everyone got you. When you're writing thank-you notes a few days later, all the details are there.
The history is also practical. Search by person, occasion, or year. Who gave you that thing you use every day? What did you receive last Christmas? What has the same person given you across multiple occasions?
Seeing what you've actually been given over time helps you build better wish lists. You notice patterns — what gets used and what doesn't, what people tend to give you, where the gaps are. That context turns a vague wish list into a precise one.
Gifts received is also where you keep the record of what's already been given, so people close to you don't repeat themselves from year to year. When someone asks what to get you, you can point them to your wish list knowing your gift history is already documented.
Nothing gets deleted. The history compounds over time — a permanent, searchable record of thoughtful moments between you and the people you care about.

Gifts given
Giving a great gift is a skill. It requires knowing the person, paying attention over time, and acting on what you notice. Love Manager supports all three.
The gift ideas list is where you capture those observations throughout the year — an offhand comment, something they pointed at in a shop, a book a friend mentioned. By the time their birthday arrives, you have real options rather than starting from nothing under pressure.
When you choose and buy something, mark it as purchased. It stays in the record — not deleted, just marked. Next year, you know you already gave the cookbook, and you move to the next thing on the list.
The gift history per person is one of the most valuable things in their profile. See every gift you've given, by occasion and year. It's easy to avoid repeating yourself, and it's a genuine pleasure to look back on what you've put together over time.
Price estimates are optional but useful. Add a rough number to each idea — it helps when you're comparing options and trying to decide what's right for the occasion. Nothing formal, just a reference.
The birthday view connects to all of this. When someone's birthday is approaching, it shows how many gift ideas you have queued. The prompt to think of something arrives weeks before you need it.
